Because I'm home right now after coming down with a particularly nasty case of sleep-deprivation-induced nausea + headache at work, I've decided to update you guys not with my extremely boring life, but rather with Her Adorable Majesty's, my very own Char Siew Pau!

Well exams ended more than a week ago! OK admittedly it involved a rather traumatic Microbiology and Immunology In Action exam, but other than that I think it went OK =)

Summer ball was last Friday, and it was great. No pictures yet because I've been too busy to transfer them to my computer, but it was a great night!

Anyway the reason I've been busy is because I've started summer lab training in my professor's lab. It's way way waaaayyy tiring, but the work is awesome and not something a typical 1st year gets to do. This is officially the coolest lab I've ever worked in!

Plus I get to hear some very interesting quotes...such as the one below:

OK la better go to sleep now. Starting at 9 again tomorrow. I can't believe my routine now includes waking up at 7.45am every morning and only going home at 6pm every evening, with only an hour's break or even less.

OHMYGOD exams are in 1 week no seriously they're coming they're coming aaaaahhhh I wanna die anyway sorry la long time never update except for some stupid bimbo post about a dress that apparently makes me look like a MAID T_T I spent a lot of money on that dress OK haih why la people say this sort of thing wan haih bla bla bla ya so just killing time lor 'cause it's 2.30am and I'm chatting with my bf now and it's gonna be our 8-month anniversary on Tuesday YAAAYYY OMG how am I gonna survive without him during the summer die lah and oh yeah speaking of summer I got my internship woohoo and I'm going crazy trying not to use punctuation do you know how hard it is not to use exclamation marks and question marks and "dot dot dot's" like I always do gaahhh so yeah I discovered that I actually practically have 4 months' summer holiday but I will only have 2 weeks to myself WTF WTF I WANNA DIE LAH HOW TO GO SINGAPORE AND CHERATING AND BALI LIKE THAT HARH AND GO PASAR MALAM AND 1 UTAMA AND EAT MAMAK FOOD AND HAWKER FOOD KAU KAU SUICIDE SUICIDE HOW HOW and I notice that I've been swearing a lot lately even though I try not to hmmmm maybe it's the effect of exams haiya EXAM MOOD SWING SYNDROME again wah I didn't know I can type so long so anyway I better stop talking nonsense and go to sleep lah haih exam exam exam goodbye ciao selamat jalan zhai jian!

WARNING: SUPER BIMBO POST AHEAD!!!

OK first off I wanna say that the lighting in my room SUUUUCCKKKSSS like crazy. It's so hard to take good pictures of myself in this place. Another reason to hate Charles Morris Hall, aside from the perpetually drunk people, the 3am fire alarms, the gross stuff people put in the freezer that I have to clean out, etc.

Yeah anyway so I bought a new dress! Yes it's another dress from Primark (did I mention I love Primark? =P) but this one cost a whopping 12 pounds (about RM 84!!! T_T) so it's probably like the most expensive single item I've bought since January or something.

I so so so love this dress 'cause I think it's really unique and really really cute. Oana says it's really "English" 0.o. OK I can see where she's coming from, kind of...

Anyway enough talking! Here we go...

Shall start off with something to get your taste buds going.

That, my friends, is a dinner I cooked for myself during the holidays. Looks good, no?

Best part, everything achieved with just a rice cooker!

That's "instant" Batchelor's Chinese-style rice (although I'm not sure what was so Chinese about it), fried chicken (with a spur-of-the-moment marinade) and some very cacatedly-cut cucumber. Yummy. Best meal I cooked the whole month.

While I'm bragging, I'd like to announce that I got an 82% on my latest essay. Damn good, yo!

Oana's birthday was on the 16th! Me, Saad, Vlad and Elaine got up super-duper early to make a surprise breakfast for her (and yes I ended up zombifying my way through class that day). Sadly, no pics, because all our hands were full with cake, breakfast, presents etc!

Zombifying

OK OK I know I haven't updated in a long long time. Term started again and I'm in major nerding mode right now. As in, visiting-the-library-every-night-and-actually-studying nerding mode.

Having to eat dinner at 6pm everyday and then sitting in the library for 3 hours straight means that by 11pm hunger pangs start to strike. And sometimes they come with really really absurd cravings, like my current insane craving for fried spring rolls.

*salivates*

OK let's not go there.

Anyway to the people at home reading this...if you don't know already, I'm only coming back at the beginning of July now. I got into this summer school called the Gatsby Plants Summer School, go Google it if you're curious (check out the pictures of the venue--awesome!!). And yes, it really is called the GATSBY Plants School, although I don't think they make men's hair gel XD. Only 3 people in my faculty got selected OK proud of me or not? :P

Other than that, exams are in 2 weeks time! And I hate biochemistry now >.< Stupid metabolic pathways...

OK OK I know Redang was ages and ages ago, but I was going through my old pictures yesterday and I realised I never got around to doing an entry on it!

Later on some of them went to play football with another team of guys, who happened to be priests-in-training, according to Louie...

They lost like crazy to a group of celibates...mwahahaha *evil laugh*

Haha damn cheap lah!!! I'm so happy now XD XD XD. And I bought a spaghetti strap for 1 pound and 5 pairs of earrings for another pound. So in total I spent only 5 pounds at Primark. Proud of me or not

Anyway Bath is a really gorgeous place, kinda sad that I didn't have more than a few hours to explore everything including the Roman baths! Definitely going back there again someday.

Holidays just started!!! Haha somehow this term seems to have just rushed by without me even settling down from the previous holidays. Which is bad considering that all the new stuff I learnt hasn't sunk in yet either haaihh >.<

So the bf has gone to London for the next few days and I'm stuck in Leeds alone. In fact almost everyone has gone to London this week. WHY!?! Why can't people wait till April when I'm going there too?

Anyway I've started cooking again and I'm gonna cook chicken rice tonight haha. Give me a chance to improve my skills. Nicole thinks I'm becoming domesticated because of Saad. HAHAHA!!!! No lah I actually found out that I don't mind cooking as much as I used to .

So since I'm finally free I caught up on my housework. Cleaned up my table, vacuumed my floor and did my laundry today mwahahaha. And my train tickets came! Yaaayyy soo happy XD

Going shopping tomorrow! Wanna buy a new piano book haha. Maybe will buy some new clothes from Primark yaaayyyy. I love Primark XD. It's a haven for cheap clothes ler hahaha.
